Your Growth Plan: Part 1

If you feel that you’re not living up to your fullest potential, you only need to follow ten key steps to get where you need to go and operate at the highest level you’re capable of operating at.

These steps provide a framework you can use to fill in based on your specific situation or circumstances. The key is to start taking these steps today. Get on the road to a better life starting now!

Step 1. Get A Clear Idea Of What You Want To Achieve And Why

Too many people are unhappy, lack contentment, or feel frustrated because they don’t have a clear idea of what they want. In many cases, they ‘want’ something simply because other people want it. This is a sure recipe for personal unhappiness.

ACTION: Create a vision board for your life now.  It should scare you. 

Step 2. Determine What You Need To Do To Achieve Your Objectives

Now that you have set your sights on an objective due to truly personal reasons, your next step is to get a clear idea of what you need to do to reach those objectives. Be as brutally realistic as possible. 

ACTION: What do I have to sacrifice?, How hard will I have to work?, What kind of changes do I have to make?

Step 3. Develop A Plan For Growth

As you develop your plan for growth, start by identifying the three to five areas in which you desire to grow.

In order to succeed in anything you must have a plan for growth. 

ACTION: Make a daily schedule and include in that schedule at least 30 minutes a day of growth plans. This can include listening to motivational calls, reading a book on leadership or self help, reflecting on positive things, etc. 

Step 4: Set Realistic, Achievable Goals With Timelines

Now that you have set your objectives and gotten a clear idea of what you need to do to attain them, your next step is to convert your objectives into concrete goals. 

Objectives are results. 

Goals are specific things that have to happen for your objectives to become reality. Measurable.

ACTION: SMART goals with timelines that are challenging. Specific. Measurable. Attainable. Realistic. Timed.
